Stay local, stock your own trucks, send your own people, and charge a straight price that the customer approves before anyone picks up a wrench. We're a small, tight crew — not a franchise with hundreds of contractors. Every technician who works under the Garage Door Masters KC name has been trained by the owner personally on the company's diagnostic process, pricing standards, and communication expectations. What every service call includes

Every service visit starts with a full inspection of your door system — not just the broken part. The tech checks spring tension, cable condition, roller wear, track alignment, hardware torque, and opener force settings. The reason: a spring that wears out at the end of its rated life usually has cables and rollers that are close behind it. Fixing the spring and ignoring the fraying cable means another call in six months.

After the inspection, you get a flat-rate quote for everything the tech recommends, broken out by item. You decide what to approve — there's no pressure, and the $79 service-call fee applies toward the repair if you go ahead the same day. Most repairs are complete in a single visit. We carry springs in multiple sizes, cables, rollers, hinges, weather seals, opener drive gears, logic boards, remotes, and safety sensors on every truck.

When the job is done, the tech walks you through what was replaced and why, lubricates the system, checks travel limits and auto-reverse on the opener, and answers any questions. You get a written receipt with the tech's name, which we also use to send you our review request — because a named technician who asks for a review by name has a personal stake in doing the job right.

Honest, up-front pricing — in detail

Our service call is $79. That fee covers the tech's time to come out, inspect the full door system, and provide a complete diagnosis and flat-rate quote before any work begins. If you approve the repair and we do it the same day, the $79 goes toward the cost of the job — not on top of it. The one exception: new-door consultations are free; if you're looking at a replacement door rather than a repair, there's no service-call fee for the consult.

We quote flat rates, not time-and-materials. You know the full price before we touch anything. The price we quote is the price on the invoice — no "discovered additional parts" added after the fact. If the tech finds something beyond the original scope that genuinely warrants attention, they'll show you and get a separate approval before proceeding.

Bonded, insured, and BBB A+ accredited

We are fully bonded and insured. A certificate of insurance is available on request for any commercial or HOA job that requires it. What we are not — and what no legitimate garage door company in Kansas is — is "licensed" in the contractor sense. Kansas does not issue a statewide license for garage door technicians; that credential doesn't exist in this state. Any company advertising a "Kansas garage door license" is misrepresenting what they hold. What matters is the bond and the insurance — real financial accountability if anything goes wrong.
